With a background in both mental health and nutrition care, Elaine supports clients in exploring how stress, anxiety, depression, body image, food relationships, life transitions, shame, and past experiences can affect overall wellbeing. She helps clients understand their patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, build self-compassion, and develop practical tools for meaningful change.
Elaine provides EMDR therapy and supports clients who are navigating trauma, difficult emotions, chronic stress, weight stigma, women’s health concerns, pregnancy and postpartum transitions, and complex relationships with food and body. Her professional background includes working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
Known for her warm and grounded style, Elaine creates a safe space where clients can feel heard, respected, and supported. Her goal is to help people move beyond guilt and shame, reconnect with their values, and develop healthier relationships with themselves, their bodies, and their lives.

EMDR Therapy
Reprocessing and Healing
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a structured therapy that helps people process painful or traumatic memories so they feel less intense and less overwhelming over time.
During EMDR, a therapist may guide you to briefly focus on a distressing memory while using bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds. The goal is not to erase the memory, but to help the brain reprocess it so it no longer feels as emotionally “stuck.”
EMDR is commonly used for PTSD, trauma, anxiety, grief, and other distressing life experiences. Many people find it helpful because it does not require talking about every detail of what happened.
Healing is possible. You do not have to carry trauma alone.

CBT Therapy
Reframing & Healing
CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is a structured, evidence-based form of therapy that helps people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
CBT focuses on identifying unhelpful thought patterns and learning practical tools to respond to them in healthier ways. It can help with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma-related symptoms, low self-esteem, and everyday life challenges.
In CBT, you and your therapist work together to build coping skills, challenge negative thinking, and practice new behaviors that support your goals.
CBT does not mean “just think positive.” It is about learning to notice patterns, understand them, and create meaningful change one step at a time. Healing starts with awareness, support, and practice.
